Requirements for the Family History Notebook include:
- Family Tree going back as far as possible (at least 4 generations starting with your parents)
- Interview with a family member- minimum 10 questions with answers (interview relatives or someone with knowledge of your family or choose a specific event they have lived through to interview them about ex. Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam, Kennedy Assassination, etc.)
- A transcript of questions must be provided in addition to your interview answers.
- 10 Artifacts with Descriptions/Explanation of historical importance to your family (documents and photos of relevant artifacts ex. newspaper clippings, military records, family heirlooms) Pictures of all documents are acceptable for safety sake.
- If you cannot find 10 artifacts you can substitute an additional interview (10 questions) per artifact you are missing.
- Autobiographical Movie (around 3 minutes in length) or Pictorial Essay (at least 20 pictures/captioned.) This must chronicle your life.
- Reflection Essay detailing at least 3 things you learned about your family from this project. Reflection should be at least 1pg in length.
Completed Family History Notebook DUE: May 16th
